Day 4. Haight-Ashbury!

Once again, Me and Mum woke up at around 9.30; we had breakfast in the hotel's restaurant, although they only seem to serve breakfast. We then managed to get up and leave our room and catch the next cable-car to the bus station, we then got on a bus to Haight-Ashbury.

We arrived at the top of Golden Gate Park, and we walked down to the California Academy of Sciences and saw some magnificent shows of fish, birds, snakes, lizards, gecko’s butterflies and the list goes on! And as we entered, they greeted us with a giant T-Rex skeleton!
(I will post more photos of the shows at the very end of this blog.)

This place has amazing exhibits such as Earthquake which had a house in the room which shook about 2 minutes after you entered. Me and Mum had a little look at the Earthquake exhibit which were showing us how the countries of Earth formed from one large land mass and also some species of birds, which some are now extinct, which was very cool. We were surprised to find that they had included the Brown Kiwi and a little explanation on New Zealand and the Kiwi and Moa!

We then moved around the indoor rain forest they had (I'll have photos of it at the end) which was very cool. We moved out of there and went downstairs to the Aquarium which was also amazing! We then left the aquarium and rushed through the African exhibit as we were very hungry!

We fed our bellies then left the Golden Gate Park. We walked down Haight-Ashbury Street and walked into some nice stores which were mainly selling clothes and then some fella came up to us and asked if we wanted a hat, I said no but Mum gave him three dollars for it. We then continued down Haight-Ashbury and went into some more clothes, as Mum was dying for a scarf. We then found a skating shop which was selling Penny Boards, and I forked out $100 so I now got a nice black and red Penny!

After I finished gawking over my new board, I did it down the road as Mum was desperately trying to find a scarf. Mum then found a scarf and we just missed our bus, which was a bummer but we just waited till the next bus came which was sweet as.

Well, that concludes my 4th day in San Francisco so I'll talk to you tomorrow afternoon!
